The Artist
It's amazing how swollen
ankles, sausage fingers, and
being in the 42nd week of
pregnancy produced in me one
of the most unexpected
transformations of my life...I
became an artist overnight.
While waiting for my daughter
to be born I picked up one of
my husband's many canvases
and began turning out bright,
bold creations, unleashing a
creative freedom I had not felt
since I was a child. I fell in
love, not only with the child I
was creating these paintings
for, but with the process of
creation. My hope in the years
to come is to continue to create
fresh and original children's art
that inspires young ones at
every stage of development.
My hope is also to make a
difference in the lives of
women and children
experiencing domestic violence
and child abuse. Ten percent
of the profits from Bella the
Busy Bee go to local area
domestic violence shelters and
programs for children affected
by domestic violence.
